Jenkins Tree Care recommends cabling for trees that are structurally compromised but otherwise healthy. Common situations we see on Etowah properties include large oaks or maples with V-shaped splits between major trunks, mature shade trees with long lateral limbs extending over roofs or decks, trees with a history of storm damage that have partially recovered, and specimen trees with significant property or sentimental value.
